How To Make Brown Fried Rice

Try a healthier plate for lunch with our easy brown fried rice dish! It’s seasoned with classic Asian flavors for a mouthwatering plate.

Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 35 minutes



  • 1cupshort grain brown rice,uncooked
  • Cooking spray
  • 1large egg,scrambled
  • 1egg white,scrambled
  • 4large scallions,chopped
  • 2garlic cloves,minced
  • 1tomato,chopped
  • 2tspsoy sauce,or more to taste
  • 1tspfish sauce


  1. Cook the brown rice according to package directions.

  2. When the rice is cooked, spray a heated nonstick wok with spray oil, then add the eggs.

  3. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until done. Set aside.

  4. Spray more oil on the wok, then add the scallions, tomatoes and garlic.

  5. Sauté for 1 minute, then add the rice.

  6. Add the soy sauce and fish sauce, then stir to mix.

  7. Keep stirring for a few minutes, then add the cooked scrambled eggs.

  8. Mix well for another 30 seconds.

  9. Serve warm, and enjoy!
