How To Make Fried Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl

A very tasty rice bowl made with bite-sized golden fried chicken and softly cooked egg in a sweet-salty sauce makes up this hearty and filling dish!

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 30 minutes



  • 1chicken breast
  • pepper,to taste
  • salt,to taste
  • flour
  • 1egg
  • panko breadcrumb
  • oil,for deep-frying
  • ½cuponion,sliced
  • cupchicken stock
  • tbspsoy sauce
  • tbspsake
  • tbspmirin
  • ½tbspsugar
  • 2eggs,beaten
  • rice,cooked
  • scallion,chopped
  • nori,shredded


  1. Salt and pepper the chicken breast, dredge in the flour, then egg, and coat in panko.

  2. Deep-fry until the chicken is done or brown and crispy. Slice and set aside.

  3. In a small pan over medium heat, add the onions, stock, soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar. Bring to a boil.

  4. Add the sliced fried chicken, pour in the eggs around the chicken. Cover with a lid and cook until the eggs are at the desired doneness.

  5. Slide the egg and chicken over cooked rice, garnish with chopped scallions and shredded nori. Enjoy!
