How To Make Mochiko Chicken

  • 5 lb chicken breasts, cut into strips, boneless skinless
  • 1 cup white rice flour
  • cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • tbsp salt
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 5 eggs
  • oil, for frying


  1. In a large bowl combine the flour, cornstarch, soy sauce, salt, sugar, green onions, garlic, cayenne pepper and eggs. Mix well. Add the chicken and marinate for 24 hours, refrigerated.
  2. Remove from refrigerator, deep fry and serve.
