How To Make Bulgogi

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp rice wine or mirin
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice wine, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.

  3. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat. Cook the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes per side, until it’s nicely browned and cooked through.

  4. Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
