Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 30 minutes

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 1 tbsp mirin (Japanese rice wine)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

  3. Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat.

  4. Remove chicken from marinade and discard excess marinade.

  5. Grill chicken for about 10 minutes per side, or bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

  6. Serve hot with rice and your choice of side dishes.
