How To Make Sauteed Mushrooms

Five ingredients are all you need to create a rich, earthy sauteed mushrooms dish. Button mushrooms are caramelized in a mix of garlic, butter, and herbs.

Total: 10 minutes


  • 4tbspbutter
  • lbbutton mushroomscut into ½ inch thick slices
  • saltto taste
  • pepperto taste
  • 2tspgarlicminced
  • 2tbspparsleychopped


  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium high heat.

  2. Add the mushrooms. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated and mushrooms are caramelized.

  4. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute, stirring constantly.

  5. Sprinkle with parsley, then serve.
