Ingredients
- ½ cup yellow onion, diced
- 16 oz white button mushrooms, or fresh mushrooms of your choice, halved or quartered depending on size
- ⅓ cup red wine, or burgundy wine
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- salt and ground black pepper, to taste
For Garnish:
- parsley, chopped
Instructions

Melt the butter over a skillet on medium heat. Add the onions and saute briefly until translucent.

Add the mushrooms and saute for roughly 8 minutes until caramelized.

Deglaze with red wine of your choice and reduce briefly for 5 to 8 minutes.

Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Serve immediately, garnished with parsley.
