- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons sambal oelek (Thai chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water

In a small saucepan, combine rice vinegar, water, sugar, fish sauce, garlic, ginger, and chili paste.
