Crockpot Spiced Hot Chocolate Recipe

This is a very fun winter beverage that’s so easy to make. Put all the ingredients in before you go outside in the now, and when you come back in you’ll have hot, spiced hot chocolate to warm you up again.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp. allspice
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • 3 cup Half & Half
  • 2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • pinch salt
  • whipped topping, frozen

Instructions

  1. Combine chocolate chips, Half & Half, milk, coffee, brown sugar, vanilla, spices and salt in the crockpot.

  2. Stir and cover.

  3. Cook on the high setting, stirring every 15 minutes, until the chocolate has melted, for about 1 hour.

  4. Serve immediately, or turn crock to LOW setting to remain hot (or WARM if your crockpot has that setting).

  5. Serve with thawed whipped topping.
