Vietnamese Iced Coffee Recipe

Strong coffee with sweetened condensed milk and chilled on ice makes an unbeatable Southeast Asian treat. Even those who only take their coffee black will like this. Serve it on hot summer days or as an evening treat.

Ingredients

  • cup water
  • 4 tbsp strong ground coffee, preferably Cafe du Monde
  • 4 tbsp condensed milk, add more if needed
  • 1 cup ice cubes, per serving

Instructions

  1. In a saucepot, bring water to a boil.

  2. Once the water boils, remove from the heat and add the ground coffee. Allow this to infuse for at least 15 minutes.

  3. Strain the coffee after the infusion and discard the solids. You can also use a coffee filter for this.

  4. Add your condensed milk and stir until dissolved.

  5. Fill up your glass with ice and pour the sweetened hot coffee into it. Serve immediately.
