How To Make Quiche Lorraine

Quiche Lorraine is a delicious meal for brunch or a simple breakfast made with onions, bacon, swiss cheese topped in a soft and crispy pie crust.

Ingredients

  • 1deep dish pie crust
  • 8bacon slices,thick cut
  • ½yellow onion,grated
  • 1cupcheddar cheese,shredded
  • 1cupswiss cheese,shredded
  • ¼tspground nutmeg
  • 4large eggs,beaten
  • 2cupshalf and half
  • ¾tspkosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake the pie crust with beans or pie weights in it for 15 minutes while you cook the bacon until browned but still chewy and chop it into large chunks.

  2. Add the onions to a paper towel then wrap and squeeze out the liquid as much as you can.

  3. Add all the ingredients except the pie crust in a large bowl and mix well before pouring into the pie crust and baking for 40 to 45 minutes.
