How To Make Chia Seed with Berries Jam

Enjoy a sweet and tart spread over pastries with this jam recipe! It’s made with chia seeds, four berries, and sweetened with honey for a tastier jam.

  • ¼cupchia seeds
  • ½cupwater
  • 2cupsfrozen raspberries
  • ½cupfrozen blackberries
  • ½cupfrozen blueberries
  • 2frozen strawberries,or more to taste
  • cuphoney,or more to taste


  1. Soak the chia seeds in water for 5 minutes until the mixture has a jelly-like texture.

  2. Heat the raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat for 15 minutes until the berries are soft. Lightly crush the berries with a fork or masher.

  3. Stir the chia seed mixture into the berry mixture. Remove from heat, then let cool for at least 10 minutes.

  4. Serve over scones, and enjoy!
