Oreo Fluff Recipe

Oreo Fluff Recipe

There’s always that one dessert I always love making at home, and it’s this Oreo fluff dessert salad. This light, creamy, and fluffy dessert goes by a lot of names like Oreo fluff salad, Oreo salad, or even Oreo cookie salad. It also shares a few similarities with an Oreo dirt pudding or dirt cake, minus the gummy worms. Both desserts taste wonderful, and are easy to make. However, my go-to dessert at home is this delightful Oreo fluff dessert that I love using as a dip for my graham crackers or wafer cookies.

To make this Oreo dessert recipe at home, you’ll only need a handful of ingredients such as milk, instant pudding, whipped topping, and crushed Oreos (or any chocolate sandwich cookies). I prefer using whole milk though. You can also use 1% or skim milk, just don’t use almond milk. The pudding won’t set if you use almond milk. With the milk, I mixed it together with instant vanilla pudding and then added the whipped cream topping. You can also customize the flavor of the instant pudding with either white chocolate or cheesecake, if you prefer something sweeter tasting than vanilla.

If you want a thicker consistency for your Oreo fluff, then you can also add in softened cream cheese and mix until it’s smooth and creamy. Once you have the pudding-like base, prepare your Oreos for crushing! Use either a food processor or a zip-top bag and rolling pin to get fine cookie crumbs. I recommend saving half of the Oreo cookies as toppings, and saving the bigger crushed pieces as well for a more dynamic texture on your dessert.

Once you’re done adding the cookies, refrigerate for an hour or overnight, and then serve when it’s still cold and creamy. I added more crumb cookies on top and even mini marshmallows so it’s extra sweet and fluffy to eat. Sometimes, I eat this on its own, but it’s much better to use it as a dip for other sweet things like strawberries or vanilla wafers.
