  • 4 cups of peeled and sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)


  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well to coat the apples.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, and melted butter. Mix until the mixture becomes crumbly.

  3. Grease the slow cooker with cooking spray or butter.

  4. Place half of the apple mixture into the bottom of the slow cooker.

  5. Sprinkle half of the oat mixture over the apples.

  6. Repeat with the remaining apple mixture and oat mixture.

  7. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 3 hours or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
