How To Make Ultimate Apple Crisp

This sweet apple crisp comes with crunchy apple slices tossed in orange juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It’s topped with oat crumble, and baked until golden.

Total: 45 minutes



  • 2lbsapples,Fuji or Granny Smith, peeled and thinly sliced
  • ¼cuporange juice
  • ¼cupgranulated sugar
  • ¼cupbrown sugar
  • 1tbspground cinnamon
  • 1tspground nutmeg
  • cupsflour

For Crisp Topping:

  • ¾cupgranulated sugar
  • ¾cuplight brown sugar,packed
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • 1cuprolled oats,not instant
  • ½lbunsalted butter,cold, diced


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, add the apple slices, orange juice, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  3. Mash together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt, oats, and butter in a bowl. Set aside.

  4. Add the apples to an 8×8-inch pan and add the crisp topping on top.

  5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Serve with ice cream on top, and enjoy!
