  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 2 cups peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, gently toss the blueberries, peaches, granulated sugar, and lemon juice until well combined. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold diced butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.

  5. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.

  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

  7. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
