How To Make Sticky Hot Dog Jackets

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dog sausages
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium heat.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, ginger powder, red pepper flakes, and water.

  3. Add the hot dog sausages to the sauce and let them marinate for 5 minutes.

  4. Place the marinated hot dogs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are heated through and have grill marks.

  5. While the hot dogs are cooking, brush the remaining marinade on the hot dog buns.

  6. Place the buns on the grill and toast them until golden brown.

  7. Remove the hot dogs and buns from the grill.

  8. Serve the hot dogs in the toasted buns, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
