Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 2 tbsp blackening seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the blackening seasoning until evenly coated.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until blackened and cooked through.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and hot sauce.

  4. Toast the hot dog buns until slightly golden.

  5. Spread the spicy mayo mixture on each bun.

  6. Place a handful of shredded lettuce on the bottom of each bun.

  7. Divide the cooked shrimp among the buns, placing them on top of the lettuce.

  8. Top with diced tomato and red onion.

  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro.

  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
