Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs Recipe

Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs Recipe

Want something fun and easy for casual barbecue parties and picnics? Look no further than this bacon wrapped hot dogs recipe! I had the pleasure of making these for my family weekend get-together, and I was in-charge of bringing in everyone’s favorite summertime street food staple: hot dogs in a bun. Instead of making the regular street hot dog kind, I wanted to combine the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger with a hot dog. That’s why I made this bacon wrapped hot dogs oven recipe overflowing with bacon, shredded cheese, and flavorful toppings.

These baked hot dogs have tender bacon meat wrapped on each hot dog for an added crispy outer layer. The wrapped bacon hot dog made it so much more appetizing to eat since the bacon slices heightened the savoriness of the hot dog. I also stuffed the hot dogs with shredded cheese so that it’s oozing with delicious melted cheese with every bite. You can choose to buy those flavored cheese hot dogs, but I personally prefer slicing the hot dog lengthwise and then stuffing cheese inside. It’s definitely the best way to cook hot dogs. You get a more flavorful and juicier meat with the additional cheese.

After I filled the hot dogs with cheese and bacon wrapped them, I baked them for about 10 minutes, and then added some toppings. I made a batch without any toppings so that I can fully appreciate the flavors of the bacon, cheese, and hot dogs. But feel free to indulge in some of the optional toppings I listed in the recipe for a more scrumptious dish!

Honestly, these are the best hot dogs to make when you’re craving for a bacon cheeseburger since the flavors are all there! You get to enjoy both meat and cheese in between hot dog buns. These bacon wrapped hot dogs are definitely a fun and great idea for when you want delicious party snacks. You can also choose to grill these bacon wrapped hot dogs outdoors during the summer, or conveniently bake them indoors so it’s faster. Don’t know how to cook hot dogs on the grill? Start on low heat, and then grill for about 8 to 10 minutes while turning it every couple of minutes or until they have those nice grill marks.
