How To Make Onion Rings
- 2 cups Spanish onion / Bermuda Onion
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Cut large Spanish onion or Bermuda onion crosswise into 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick slices. Separate into rings.
- Dry onion rings and coat with flour. Make batter using baking powder, egg, salt, and milk.
- Dip onions into batter letting excess drip off and fry in hot oil until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
