
How To Make 10-Minute Enchilada Sauce
This easy to make sauce only takes 10 minutes of your time to cook. This enchilada sauce is made with different savory spices cooked in a skillet.

- ¼cupvegetable oil
- 2tbspself-rising flour
- ¼cupNew Mexico chili powder,or California chili powder
- 8oztomato sauce,(1 can)
- 1½cupswater
- ¼tspground cumin
- ¼tspgarlic powder
- ¼tsponion salt
- salt,to taste
Instructions

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in flour and chili powder, reduce heat to medium, and cook until lightly brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning flour.

Gradually stir in tomato sauce, water, cumin, garlic powder, and onion salt into the flour and chili powder until smooth.

Continue cooking over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes or until thickened slightly. Season to taste with salt.
