  • 2 lb smoked whitefish, whole or fillets
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp celery seeds
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 3 green onions or scallions, finey chopped
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • lemon juice, freshly squeezed, (from 1 lemon)
  • lemon zest, (from 1 lemon)
  • salt and pepper, to taste

To Serve:

  • lemon wedges
  • bread, bagel, or saltine crackers, sliced

Instructions

  1. Peel the skin off from the whitefish. Use a fork to pull the fish meat from the bones then discard any remaining tiny bones.
  2. Transfer the fish meat into the food processor bowl.
  3. Add all of the remaining ingredients then, process until it becomes a smooth puree or flaky and chunky as desired. If needed, add in more olive oil to adjust the consistency.
