How To Make Strawberry Peach Sangria

Combining the delicate floral sweetness of peaches and slightly sour fruity flavors of strawberries in a sangria will definitely lift your spirits up!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 15strawberries
  • 2peaches
  • 2cupswater
  • cupssugar
  • 1bottlewhite wine,chilled
  • ¾cuprum
  • 1bottlechampagne or sparkling white wine,chilled
  • ice cube,to chill
  • 10strawberries,extra for serving, sliced
  • 2peaches,extra for serving, sliced

Instructions

  1. Discard the green tops of the strawberries and slice the peaches.

  2. In a saucepan, dissolve sugar in water.

  3. Add the strawberries and peaches.

  4. Bring to a rolling boil and reduce to medium heat.

  5. Boil for approximately 15 minutes, or until the strawberries become pale and the peaches are soft.

  6. Strain the syrup and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until cooled. Discard boiled fruit.

  7. In a pitcher, combine the cooled syrup, sliced extra fruit, white wine, and rum.

  8. Chill for 2 to 4 hours.

  9. Scoop fruit into glasses with ice, pour sangria, and top with champagne or sparkling wine.
