
How To Make Cranberry Mulled Wine
This mulled wine recipe produces a steaming cup for cold nights! It’s a simmered mix of fresh ginger, mulling spices, and refreshing citrus slices.

Ingredients
- 750mldry red wine,(1 bottle)
- 1cupcranberry juice
- â…“cupbrandy,optional
- 1orange,sliced into rounds
- 8whole cloves
- 2cinnamon sticks
- 2star anise
- fresh ginger,2-inch knob, halved lengthwise
- 6tbspsweetener,(maple syrup, sugar, or honey), to taste
For Optional Garnishes:
- orange slices
- fresh cranberries
- cinnamon sticks
- fresh rosemary
Instructions

Add the wine, cranberry juice, brandy, orange slices, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, ginger, and 2 tablespoons of sweetener to a large saucepan. Stir briefly to combine.

Cook the mulled wine on medium-high heat until it just barely reaches a simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let the wine simmer for about 15 minutes or up to 3 hours.

Using a fine mesh strainer, remove and discard the orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and ginger. Give the mulled wine a taste, and stir in extra sweetener, if needed.

Serve warm in heat-proof mugs, topped with orange slices, fresh cranberries, cinnamon sticks, or fresh rosemary, and enjoy!
