3 pounds of meaty chuck roast, stewed in a salty and savory-sweet mixture until it comes off tender and full of flavor.

  • 3 lb chuck roast
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic cloves (minced )
  • 1 ½ cups soy sauce
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups carrots (grated )
  • green onions (for garnish)
  1. Cut your chuck roast into thin strips.
  2. Place the pieces and cornstarch. Shake to coat.
  3. Add olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and carrots to slow cooker.

  4. Stir ingredients.

  5. Add coated flank steak and stir again until coated in the sauce.
  6. Cook in high for 2 to 3 hours until cooked throughout and tender.
