  • 5chicken thighs ,bone in and skin on
  • ¼cuplite soy sauce ,low sodium
  • ½cupdark brown sugar
  • ½tspground ginger ,or 2 tsps fresh ginger, minced
  • ½tspgarlic powder ,or 2 tbsps fresh garlic, minced
  • sesame seeds,for garnish, optional
  • green onions,sliced, for garnish, optional


  1. Mix all the ingredients and set the chicken into the slow cooker skin side up.

  2. Cook on Low for 8 hours or on High for 4 hours.

  3. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions (optional).
