Delightful Garlic Vodka Alfredo Sauce With Shrimp Recipe

How To Make Delightful Garlic Vodka Alfredo Sauce With Shrimp

  • 16 oz. penne
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 6 cloves roasted garlic
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 2 cups Parmesan cheese (grated )
  • 1/2 cup Asiago cheese (grated )
  • 1 lb. shrimp (peeled, deveined)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente and drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in butter, cream, chicken stock and vodka.
  4. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add cheeses, shrimp, salt and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Mix in pasta and stir.
  8. Allow it to simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. penne cooked & cooled
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup chicken stock
  • ½ cup vodka
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated or powdered
  • ½ cup Asiago Provolone, or Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • ½ lb shrimp peeled & deveined
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat
  2. Saute garlic & shrimp briefly. Set aside
  3. In another deep skillet, add in butter, cream, chicken stock and vodka.
  4. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add cheeses, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir continuously to melt the cheese
  7. Mix in pasta and shrimp until evenly incorporated
  8. Allow it to simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve.
