  • 1cupunsalted butterroom temperature
  • 5cupspowdered sugar
  • 2tbspvanilla extract
  • ½cuheavy whipping cream
  • 1pinchsaltto taste


  1. Place butter in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes.

  2. Add sugar, one cup at a time, and beat until combined. Beat in vanilla extract.

  3. Add cream, a little at a time, and beat on high speed until light and fluffy. Continue adding cream until desired texture and firmness is reached.

  4. Add a pinch of salt and beat until combined.

  5. Spread or pipe onto cake or cupcakes.
