How To Make Seven-Minute Icing

  • 1 egg white, unbeaten
  • 8 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp water, cold
  • 2 egg whites


  1. Put all ingredients in top of a double boiler.

  2. Put over boiling water and beat with a rotary beater for seven minutes.

  3. Remove from fire and beat until thick. Use immediately
