How To Make Cream Cheese Frosting

Make your pancakes and cakes more delicious with this creamy and tangy cream cheese frosting made with cream cheese and vanilla extract.

  • 8ozcream cheese,at room temperature
  • 2tbspunsalted butter,at room temperature
  • cupspowdered sugar
  • 1tspvanilla extract


  1. Combine the cream cheese and butter. and beat until they are fully blended.

  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla, then stir the mixture with a spoon until the powdered sugar is incorporated. Whip the frosting until it’s nice and fluffy.

  3. Use the frosting immediately, or store it in the refrigerator, covered for up to 5 days.

  4. Before using, let it warm to room temperature for about 15 minutes and briefly re-whip before using.
