How To Make Honey Garlic Crunch Chicken Tenders

Fried to a satisfying crunch, this chicken tenders recipe is a cut above the rest through the contrasting flavors of paprika, honey, ginger, and garlic.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 3chicken breasts,5 to 6 slices each
  • 2cupsflour
  • ½cuppanko bread crumbs
  • ½tspgarlic powder
  • 1tsponion powder
  • 1tsppaprika
  • ½tspSeasoning salt
  • ½tspblack pepper
  • 3eggs
  • 3tbspwater
  • tbspoil
  • oil,for frying
  • green onions

For Sauce:

  • ½cuphoney
  • 4tbspsoy sauce
  • 4cloveslarge garlic,crushed
  • 1tbspginger,finely diced
  • ½tspchili flakes
  • cupwater

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil to 375 degrees F.

For Sauce:

  1. Combine sauce ingredients in a small pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes

Chicken:

  1. In a bowl combine flour, Panko bread crumbs, and seasonings. Set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, water, and oil.

  2. Working with half of the flour mixture at a time, dip each piece of chicken in the egg mixture and then the flour.

  3. Dip it into the egg a second time and then the flour again to double coat it. Gently press the flour into the chicken.

  4. Shake off any excess. Place on a wire rack and continue until all chicken is coated.

  5. Fry chicken in small batches until crispy and cooked through, about 5 to 6 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  6. Place cooked chicken in a large bowl, pour warm sauce over and toss well to coat.

  7. Top with green onions if desired and serve immediately.
