Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.

  3. Place pork shoulder in a slow cooker and add onion, garlic, and chicken broth.

  4. Cook on low for 6 hours, or until pork is tender and can be easily shredded with a fork.

  5. Once pork is cooked, remove from slow cooker and shred with two forks.

  6. Serve shredded pork on a warm corn tortilla, and top with cilantro, avocado, and a squeeze of lime.
