How To Make Chanterelle Mushroom and Gruyere Tartine Recipe

A crispy French bread topped with sautéed chanterelle mushrooms and melted Gruyere cheese.

Total: 30 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of French bread
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 lbs of chanterelle mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of grated Gruyere cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F

  2. Brush each slice of French bread with olive oil and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.

  3. In a pan, sauté sliced chanterelle mushrooms until soft and tender.

  4. Add minced shallot and garlic, season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Remove bread from oven and top each slice with sautéed mushrooms.

  6. Sprinkle grated Gruyere cheese on top of the mushrooms.

  7. Return to oven and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. Cut each tartine in half and serve.
