How To Make Copycat Pizza Hut Hawaiian Supreme

Pizza Hut's Hawaiian pizza is iconic. Why not try making it yourself?

Pizza crust

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp active yeast
  • 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour (add more as needed)
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

Toppings

  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • ½ cup onions (chopped )
  • 1 cup ham slices (chopped )
  • 1 ½ cup mozzarella cheese (shredded )

Crust:

  1. In a bowl, add the warm water and yeast.
  2. Stir and let the mixture sit until the yeast turns foamy and dissolves.

  3. Add in the flour, olive oil, salt and sugar.

  4. Mix together by hand or with a mixer at low speed until dough begins to form.
  5. Once the dough is smooth and well combined, knead it by hand for about 10 minutes or until elastic and bouncy. Add more flour if needed.

  6. Shape the finished dough into a round and put in back in the bowl.

  7. Drizzle some olive oil over it, cover the dough and allow it to rise for 1 hour.
  8. After an hour, the dough will appear to have expanded in size. Poke the middle to release the extra air.

  9. Preheat the oven to 450°F.

  10. Take a skillet, grease it and drizzle it with some flour to prevent the dough from sticking.
  11. Spread the dough on the skillet, building a thick crust around the edges and it is ready to be topped!

Pizza:

  1. Evenly spread the marinara sauce over the dough.
  2. Then, sprinkle the pineapple chunks, onions and ham slices all over the dough.
  3. Top it off with a coat of shredded mozzarella cheese and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the crust turns brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  4. Remove from the oven. Let it sit for 1 minute, cut and serve.
