Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, pasta, dried oregano, dried basil, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked and the flavors have melded together.

  5. Serve the ground turkey pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
