How To Make Fruity Turkey Tagine

Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds turkey breast, cut into chunks
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup dried apricots, halved
- 1/2 cup pitted green olives
- 1/4 cup raisins
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions

In a large pot or tagine, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic, sauté until softened.

Add the turkey chunks and brown them on all sides.

Sprinkle in the ground ginger, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, turmeric, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir well to coat the turkey with the spices.

Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

Add the dried apricots, green olives, raisins, and lemon juice. Stir to combine.

Cover the pot and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the turkey is tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
