How To Make Copycat Panda Express Fresh Fried Dumplings

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chives
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp. sriracha

Dumplings

  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 2 chives
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 50 dumpling wrappers
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 qt. water

Making the sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the sauce ingredients.

  2. Set aside for later.

Making the dumplings

  1. In a large bowl, combine pork, garlic, egg, remaining chives, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger.
  2. Scoop 1 tbsp of mixture onto each dumpling wrapper and crimp the edges to form the dumpling shape.

  3. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil.

  4. Add dumplings to skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in water and cook until tender. Serve with the sauce.
