- 300g all-purpose flour
- 150g cold butter, cubed
- 3 tbsp cold water
- 400g golden syrup
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 100g breadcrumbs
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large bowl, rub the cold butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Add the cold water and mix until the dough comes together.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.

In a separate bowl, mix together the golden syrup, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

Place a tablespoon of breadcrumbs in the center of each heart shape.

Spoon the golden syrup mixture over the breadcrumbs, making sure to cover them completely.

Place the tart hearts on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
