Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry
  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup of Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and fit it into a tart pan.

  3. In a large skillet, sauté the leeks over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes.

  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the ricotta, Gruyère, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  5. Spread the sautéed leeks evenly onto the puff pastry.

  6. Pour the ricotta mixture over the leeks, spreading it out evenly.

  7. Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is set.

  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  9. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
