Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 3 red apples
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of apricot jam
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal rectangles.
-
Slice the apples in half, remove the core, and cut into thin slices. Place the slices in a bowl with lemon juice to prevent browning.
-
Microwave the apple slices for 1 minute to soften them slightly.
-
Lay the slices of apple on top of the puff pastry rectangles, overlapping them slightly in a straight line.
-
Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon evenly over the apple slices.
-
Fold the bottom edge of the puff pastry up over the apple slices, then roll it tightly from one end to the other, creating a rose shape.
-
Place the apple rose tarts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
-
Heat the apricot jam in a small saucepan and brush it over the baked tarts for a glossy finish.
