Ingredients

  • 500g beef, cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

  2. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides.

  3. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.

  5. Add the sliced bell peppers and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the peppers are slightly softened.

  6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
