Ingredients

  • 4 large buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly.

  4. Add flour to the sausage, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes to cook the flour.

  5. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly, and bring to a simmer.

  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until thickened.

  7. Season with salt and black pepper.

  8. Split the biscuits in half and top with a generous serving of gravy.
