- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix – a few lumps are ok.

Spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.

Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, spreading it out to the edges.
