- 1½cupwhite whole wheat flour,or regular whole wheat flour
- 2tspbaking powder
- ½tspsalt
- 2tbspsugar
- 1large egg
- 1½cupcoconut milk,or lukewarm milk
- â…“cupvirgin coconut oil,melted, or 5 tbsp of melted butter
- ½tspvanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the waffle iron.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, coconut milk, coconut oil and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, then mix just until combined. The batter will be a little lumpy.
