How To Make Beer Batter Waffles

Instead of yeast, this waffles recipe is made with beer batter and sweetened with honey. The result is a light & crisp waffle that’s perfect for breakfast.

  • 2cupsself rising flour
  • 12fl ozbeer,(1 can or bottle)
  • ½cupunsalted butter,melted
  • ¼cupmilk
  • 2eggs,separated
  • 1tbsphoney
  • 1tspvanilla extract


  1. Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions. Combine flour, beer, butter, milk, egg yolks, honey, and vanilla in a large bowl; stir until the mixture is smooth.

  2. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold egg whites into batter.

  3. Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Ladle the batter into waffle iron.

  4. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
