Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.

  4. Preheat a waffle iron and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.

  5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot waffle iron and spread it evenly. Close the lid and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 4-5 minutes.

  6. Repeat with the remaining batter.

  7. Serve the waffles warm with your favorite toppings like fresh berries, whipped cream, or maple syrup.
