How To Make Brown Sugar Bacon Waffles

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar for bacon topping
Instructions

Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the milk and melted butter and mix well.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from heat and sprinkle with brown sugar, coating each slice evenly.

Place bacon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes, until caramelized. Let it cool and break into small pieces.

Ladle the waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Serve the waffles with the caramelized bacon on top.
