How To Make Mini Chocolate Chip Scones

Ingredients
- 2½cupsall-purpose flour
- 3tbspsugar
- ¼tspsalt
- 4tspbaking powder
- ⅓cupbutter,cold
- 1cupmini chocolate chips
- 2eggs
- 2tspvanilla extract
- ¾cupheavy cream
For Glaze:
- 3tbsppowdered sugar
- 1tbspheavy cream
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F

Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.

Using a pastry blender, cut in the butter into the flour mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the chocolate chips, then set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, vanilla, and heavy cream.

Add the egg mixture to the dry mix, then stir just until it holds together.

On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough by folding and gently pressing the dough for 10 to 12 strokes until nearly smooth.

Pat or lightly roll the dough into an 8-inch circle, then cut them into 8 wedges.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove scones from baking sheet, then let slightly cool.

Stir together the powdered sugar and heavy cream.

Pour the glaze over each scone, then smooth it with a pastry brush. Let the glaze set on a wire rack.
