How To Make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Enjoy a bite of this moist and decadent banana bread dotted with sweet chocolate chips! It’s easy to make and is perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert!

Total: 1 hour 5 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2cupsflour
  • 1tspbaking soda
  • ½tspsalt
  • ½tspcinnamon
  • 1cupchocolate chips
  • ½cupbutter,melted, or vegetable oil
  • ½cupbrown sugar
  • ¼cupsugar
  • 2eggs,at room temperature
  • 1tspvanilla
  • 1⅓cupsmashed bananas,(about 3 medium bananas)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8×4-inch loaf pan.

  2. Whisk the dry ingredients in a small bowl, then stir in chocolate chips.

  3. Combine the butter and sugars. Add the eggs one at a time and vanilla.

  4. Fold in the mashed bananas. Fold in the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.

  5. Pour into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Do not overbake.

  6. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes.

  7. Remove from the pan and cool completely on a rack.

Recipe Notes

  • Chocolate chip banana bread will keep for about 1 week at room temperature in an airtight container.
  • To freeze, simply wrap in plastic wrap and label with the date. It will keep for up to 1 month in the freezer.
