How To Make Bacon Syrup For Cocktails

Ingredients

  • 1cupsugar
  • 1cupwater
  • 3bacon strips,cooked

Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan.

  2. Stir the sugar and water over low heat until sugar dissolves.

  3. Increase the heat to bring water to a boil, then add the pre-cooked bacon, stirring thoroughly.

  4. Reduce the heat and let simmer for 3 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat, then remove the bacon pieces.

  6. Pour the syrup through a mesh strainer into a bowl to filter out grease and any remaining bacon pieces.

  7. Store the syrup in a bowl or funnel into a bottle.

  8. Serve over chilled cocktails, and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Small grease deposits may solidify at the top of the bottle after refrigeration. You can leave it as is or fish them out.
